Dear guest, here is a handful of my favorite places of interest and of geomantic significance.
All links are in German, but after you have clicked on it, most sites offer a English version.
Please note that opening times in the countryside are not the same as you are used to in the city or in the Netherlands. And I advice to bring cash to pay for your meal in restaurants, unfortunately the possibility for credit-and bankcard payment is rare.
When you discover a worth while activity or location in the area, please let me know. I will add it to the list below to inform and inspire other guests.

The Disibodenberg - powerful geomantic place with Ruins of former Abbey, walkingway of Silence and a beautiful labyrinth. This was were once Hildegard von Bingen entered monastic life as a 14-year old girl.

this used to be the center of gemstone digging, cutting and polishing. There are still many shops with a good choice of gemstones, unpolished and jewelry.

Wine tasting - my favorite the Linxweiler family at the Hahnmühle organic vineyard
(organic viticulture since 1986, with numerous awards.)

For lovers of castles and ruins, there is the Raubrittertur south of Kaiserslautern
or a visit to Lichtenberg Castle in Kusel (approx. 40 mins).

Draisinentour between Altenglan und Lauterecken; on even days start in Lauterecken, on uneven days start in Altenglan (you have to use public transport to get to the starting point).
Between Meisenheim and Staudernheim; Start in Staudernheim in the morning, back from Meisenheim to Staudernheim in the afternoon.

Pu Thai, Thai/Vietnamesiche Küche, ca. 20 min. very good and a good combination with a visit to the Donnersberg.
Seehaus Forelle, Ramsen, ca. 40. min. very good and a combination with walks in the 'Biosphärenreservat' or a swim in the Eiswoog.

Westpfalzhalle Niederkirchen ca 5 min. 06363 1227 - also take away and (Pizza) delivery service.

For wine lovers
Weingut Hahnmühle since 1986 the family Linxweiler run an ecological vinyard, they were pioneers.  
A beautiful place to go on a wine tasting, with appointment only.
